chair- man prepares a work schedule for the year and members are
assigned a month in which they are to take care of the garden. Members
report at monthly meetings on work done and the condition of the garden.
All reports are filed in our Garden Binder. The chairman and her

Club meetings and members' backyards.
Several members have participated in The Great Backyard Bird Count since
2006 and shared their experience with Crabapple members. Their
excitement in taking part encouraged us to do so as a group. The
chairman will present information and points on recognizing
birds common in our area at all of our regular meetings. Members will
count birds in their yards February 13-16, 2009 and report our findings
online at www.audubon.org/gbbc. This chair- man will also do a series of
programs on birds with the Seedlings Youth Garden Club. By helping
document where birds are, and tracking changes in their number to
previous years, we will all benefit in this important research. |
